How Does Your Computer Get Infected By Spyware
If your computer is not protected by an anti-spyware program, the chances of your computer get infected by spyware are pretty high. Your computer is more likely to be infected by spyware in one of these scenarios:
- You click on an email attachment from a spam email and open it. Since spyware often comes as an attachment to a spam email, if you’ve ever clicked on one of these attachments, your computer is more likely to be infected by spyware.
- You could be tricked into downloading spyware to your computer from a bad website. Some bad webmasters embed spyware in the download link of a pop up window. These pop up windows normally tell you that you have won a gift from the website.
- You install a freeware or shareware on your computer. Spyware is often embedded in the freeware or shareware. However not all freeware is bundled with spyware.
- Spyware could be downloaded to your computer automatically from a website you are browsing. These websites are mostly adult websites. They are responsible for the existence of spyware in your computer
