Adware is an annoying spyware that is not only spying on you but also keep showing you pop up advertisement.

Some adware is designed to watch your internet browsing habit and it will then show you the advertisement that is customized to your habit.

Software publisher use adware as a revenue sources. The adware is a normally bundled with of a free program. It is stated clearly in the End User License Agreement (EULA) of these software that in return for use of the program for free, you allow the installation of adware on your computer.

So it is always good to skim the EULA before you start the installation of a freeware. It you see anything suspicious, you can always do a search on the software you are installing on the Internet. If the freeware is bundled with spyware, adware or unwanted software, it would be easy for you to find out.
